Thinking of You

Hello everyone! The card that I’m sharing today was inspired by a Paper Smooches card challenge. The theme of this challenge was to use a lot of pink in your card, as well as a Paper Smooches stamp or die. To get started I chose to use the kite from their stamp set Cut Loose and let it come together from there.

Here is how I put it all together…

I colored the kite using two different pinks from ZIG markers.

After the kite was colored, the next step was to find a background for the card and since the theme was pink, I chose a pink-striped patterned paper which I then die cut using the Card Builder: Many Thanks stamp and die set from Whimsy Stamps.

Next,  I die cut a banner from the same die set as the one I used for the background using both a light pink and white piece of cardstock to attach on top of it.

The clouds behind the kite were die cut from white cardstock using the Spring Showers die set from Lawn Fawn.

After all the pieces were ready, it was time to lay out the card. I used a piece of black cardstock for the card base, and adhered the pink-striped piece of patterned paper on top of it. Next, I attached the light pink banner near the bottom of the card, and using foam tape, placed the white banner on top of it to give it a little dimension. I then used the Everyday Sayings stamp set from Hero Arts and  stamped a sentiment onto the white banner..

The next part was to adhere the two clouds onto the background, and then the final step was attaching the kite using foam tape so that it would pop up over  the clouds.

Well, that completes my card for the day…. I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope you will stop back soon to check out some more. Have a nice day!
