Love and Hearts Card

valentinechallenge-1-e1454138677112Hello, and thanks for stopping by today!

Since Valentine’s Day was quickly approaching, I decided to make something and enter it into Pretty Pink Posh’s Valentine Challenge. My card was inspired by Lisa’s heart design.

I began by using Spellbinder’s Tranquil Moments die cut, and Simon Says Stamp’s Cotton Candy Cardstock. Once I die cut the cardstock, I adhered it onto the card base, and set upon making the main theme pieces…Hearts.

To make the hearts, I used Memory Box’s Stitched Hearts, along with two different cardstocks, Red Lipstick and Cotton Candy from Simon Says Stamp, to create two different sized hearts. Both of these were then adhered to the card, with the larger red heart going slightly behind the smaller pink heart. Next came a sentiment. Because of the theme I decided to use Create a Smile’s This Must be Love stamp set, and chose the word “Love”. I then covered it with gold embossing powder to give it some flair.

I felt it needed just a little something more so I used the Signo Broad White gel pen to draw stitched lines around the edge of the hearts.

Thanks for stopping back in…Happy Valentines Day!
